You would think that the Mexican government would construct at least a tiny railing to make the climb up Mexico's pyramids a little less treacherous! Many tourists that decided to risk the climb to the top panicked about falling down the steps after realizing it's harder to walk backwards down these 6 inch steps. Many people have killed themselves, especially after a light rain that makes the stone slippery.
Nevertheless, we found these pyramid climbs among our most memorable experiences. Sitting at the summits of steep pyramids is an ideal way to ponder the perplexities of Mexico's early societies!
